In general, a few notes about rehearsals and performances:

  • All volunteer singers are required to participate in Ensemble Building sessions. These sessions serve as part warm up, part rehearsal, and part group lesson, focusing on difficult passages in the concert repertoire. These sessions are listed on the schedule, and they usually start 30 minutes before the full rehearsal.

  • First Presbyterian Church is located at 201 South 21st Street. The entrance is on 21st Street between Walnut and Locust. (For more information about the church itself, visit their website at http://phpwebsite.fpcphila.org.) Curtis Institute is located at 1726 Locust Street, which is close to 18th Street and Rittenhouse Square. The Kimmel Center is where The Innovation Studio and Verizon Hall are located. Please enter at the backstage entrance on 15th Street between Spruce and Pine. Your name will be on the chorus list with the security guard.

  • We use black folders for most performances. Please bring your own black folder.

  • Concert attire for men (unless otherwise announced) is white tie, white vest, tails (black), black pants, black socks and black shoes. Concert attire for women is long sleeve black dress, floor-length black skirt, or palazzo pants as per the AGMA contract.
