The Philadelphia Singers launched the Mentor Program in 2003. The Mentor program provides talented high school students with the opportunity to experience the entire creative process from an audition to rehearsals to performances alongside a professional member of The Philadelphia Singers Chorale.
The Philadelphia Singers’ mentor program is an intensive program that is offered for eleventh and twelfth grade students who are currently involved in their school’s music program or who have demonstrated a significant interest in or talent for music. The program is small, but it is the program’s intimate nature which allows the students to receive an exceptional hands-on and in-depth experience.
The program’s emphasis is on creating a valuable and intrinsic artistic experience that supports the growth of the students into productive, creative adults. To make a contribution to support the Mentor program click here.
In the 2011-2012 Season, eight students will be selected to perform with The Philadelphia Singers Chorale in The Philadelphia Orchestra's performance of Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe May 17-19, 2012.
Auditions for the 2011-2012 Mentor program will be held March 13, 2012, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
