Executive Director
Rebecca Bolden has been involved in Philadelphia’s performing arts community for
several years. She was appointed Executive Director of The Philadelphia Singers in
September 2003 and is happy to return to The Philadelphia Singers after two successful
years at The Philadelphia Orchestra.
Between June 2001 and August 2003, Ms. Bolden worked in The Philadelphia Orchestra’s
Development office. While at The Orchestra, Ms. Bolden played an integral role in the early
stages of the Orchestra’s recently announced $125 million Endowment Campaign. In addition
to facilitating several major gifts, she was also responsible for launching In Unison, the
Orchestra’s Development newsletter.
Prior to her employment with The Philadelphia Orchestra, Ms. Bolden worked at The
Philadelphia Singers from 1998 to 2001 as the Administrative Assistant. She is very excited
to be back at The Singers and looks forward to working with this world-class ensemble as
well as collaborating with Music Director David Hayes and the Board of Directors.
Ms. Bolden has also worked at Philadelphia’s Walnut Street and Wilma Theaters as
well as the Almeida Theatre in London. In addition she has been involved with The Opera
Company of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Ballet and WHYY.
